Mr. Michalis Petrodaskalakis is a Partner in EY Consulting Services practice in Athens, Greece. He has more than 23 years of consulting experience with a focus on Corporate Governance, Internal Audit and Internal Controls and is currently the Leader of the Governance, Risk and Internal Audit services in Enterprise Risk EY Greece and the Enterprise Risk Leader in the south cluster of Central Eastern and Southeast Europe and Central Asia (CESA) EY Region. He holds a MSc degree in Accounting & Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus.. Michael is a member of the Hellenic Institute of Internal Auditors where he has also served as a BoD member (2010-2013). He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), he holds a Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA) and in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) and he is a Qualify Assessor by the IIA.
During his professional career, Michael has led numerous assignments in fields such as Internal Audit, Internal Controls consulting services, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Compliance in various industries such as financial services, energy, power & utilities, telecommunication, consumer goods, FMCG, pharma, etc. In his capacity as Leader of the Governance, Risk and Internal Audit services in Enterprise Risk EY Greece, he has conducted a number of external and in-house trainings regarding Corporate Governance, Internal Audit and Internal Controls. Michael is one of the key instructors in the MSc in applied Risk Management – Direction in Internal Audit, offered by the University of Athens in cooperation with EY.
